BODY RECOMPOSITION & FAT LOSS IN DALLAS, TX

GET LEANER.
GET STRONGER.

Sustainable body recomposition built on strength training, personalized nutrition coaching, and consistency. Not restriction, and not guesswork.

STRENGTH FIRST. CHANGE THAT LASTS.

Body recomposition means losing fat while building or keeping muscle, so you get leaner and stronger at the same time. At Gryffon Performance it’s coached strength training plus personalized nutrition, not restriction and endless cardio.

Most approaches to changing your body chase the scale with restriction and excessive cardio, and the results leave when the plan ends. Gryffon Performance builds recomposition on strength, because a stronger, more capable body is the foundation of a physique that holds. Training, personalized nutrition coaching, and a comprehensive assessment work together so change is measured, not guessed at.

WHY IT CAME BACK LAST TIME

You’ve probably lost weight before. Most people arriving here have. Cut the calories hard, added cardio, watched the scale drop for eight or ten weeks, and felt like it was finally working.

Then it came back. And the version of your body that came back was softer than the one you started with.

That isn’t a discipline problem. When you lose weight in a deficit without training for strength, a meaningful share of what leaves is muscle. You end up lighter and weaker at the same time. Less muscle means a lower resting metabolism, which means the weight comes back more easily than it left.

Do that twice and you’re worse off at the same bodyweight than you were before you started. That’s the cycle, and it’s why the third attempt is usually harder than the first.

Body recomposition is the alternative. Not losing weight faster. Losing fat while holding on to, or building, the muscle underneath it. The scale moves more slowly and often stalls for weeks. What changes is how you look, how strong you are, and whether it lasts.

HOW COACHING STARTS

Every client starts with the free Transformation and Fitness Strategy Session, a 60 minute in person appointment with David before training begins. For body recomposition it matters more than usual, because your nutrition coaching starts from the same conversation rather than arriving as a template a week later.

BODY RECOMPOSITION QUESTIONS

Yes, and it’s the goal here. Strength training gives your body a reason to keep and build muscle, and nutrition that fits your goal handles the fat loss. Together they change body composition instead of just the number on the scale.

No. Strength training and nutrition do most of the work. Cardio can have a place, but it isn’t the plan.

Yes. The medication makes eating less easier. It doesn’t hold on to your muscle while the weight comes off. That part is on your training and your protein. We coach around your prescription, not instead of your doctor.

Yes. Personalized nutrition coaching is included for every active client, built around your goals, your schedule, and the food you actually eat.

COACHED BY DAVID GRYFFON

More than 15 years of coaching, and coaching for free long before that, starting with classmates and then coworkers at every job he had. David studied mechanical engineering and went from welder to production manager, and he still reads a body the way he used to read a production line: find the part actually limiting output and work on that one. He came back from a serious back injury to deadlift 600 pounds. He coaches every client and runs your free first appointment himself.
